IT Carlow wins 3rd Level 'Safety in Design and Construction' Competition 2011/2012
A team of students from IT Carlow has won the 2011/2012 ‘Safety in Design and Construction’ competition aimed at 3rd level students in construction related undergraduate programmes. The final was held in Dublin’s Ashling Hotel on Wednesday 1st February, where six short-listed teams battled it out to win the first prize of €3,000. NUI Galway won the runners-up prize of €2,000. Third place went to Letterkenny IT. The remaining finalist teams received €1,000 and certificates of commendation. Other 3rd level institutions represented in the final included Cork IT and two other teams from IT Carlow.
