Work related stress (WRS) is stress caused or made worse by work. Workplaces which have good communications, respectful relations and healthy systems of work can help people recognise and manage the type of stress which may have more than one cause; such workplaces tend to get the best results in achieving a health and productive workforce.
The area of workplace health, compared to workplace safety, is one in which many employers feel less competent and informed.
This guidance is intended to provide practical guidelines to help workers and employers in the music and entertainment sectors to protect their hearing and meet their legal requirements.
This guide has been produced by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) using guidance and expertise from the National Disability Authority (NDA). It aims to assist employers to provide a healthy and safe workplace for employees with disabilities.
This is the response of the Health and Safety Authority to the Workplace Health and Well-being Strategy Report produced by the Expert Group. The Expert Group produced a wide ranging report on workplace health and well-being. The Board of the Authority has considered the recommendations of this Report.
The objective of this national Strategy is to raise awareness of the importance of the health and well-being of our working age population and to recommend actions that will improve worker health.
