Get Safe – Work Safe: Health and Safety in the Workplace for Students Starting Work
This course introduces students to the principles of workplace safety, health and welfare. The course is aimed at young people starting work for the first time or preparing for work experience. It is also suitable for further education students and as a refresher for individuals returning to the workplace.

Farm Safety Post-Primary Schools Video Resource
This Farm Safety video resource is suitable for classroom delivery. The content is suitable for post-primary students from junior cycle onwards, and particularly young people from a farming background or those that may be visiting a farm including student seasonal workers. The resource provides an opportunity for students to increase their awareness and knowledge of farm safety, and will help them to stay safe on the farm and recognise key hazards associated with vehicles, machinery and livestock.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this resource students should be able to:
• recognise key hazards and risks on the farm.
• understand why health and safety is managed on farm.
• discuss appropriate controls and precautions necessary to prevent accidents, injury, or ill health on farms.
