Inspector Grade II – Chemical Risk Management

The Health and Safety Authority is seeking an experienced scientist to evaluate the risks posed by chemicals to human health and the environment, and to identify the most effective regulatory risk management measures to control that risk.

This role will involve working in the area of chemical risk management primarily under the REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and the CLP Regulation (Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals).

The Authority works closely with Irish government departments, Irish and European regulatory agencies, and other partners and stakeholders.  If you want to make a real contribution to help protect the health of people on an EU wide basis and safeguard the environment, this could be the ideal job for you.

If you have an honours degree (level 8 on the NFQ) in science and a good depth of experience in risk management, why not make an application and open your career to a new and exciting opportunity.  Experience in the production of scientific or regulatory reports and knowledge of environmental and/or chemical legislation is also essential.
