A book about ocean safety and fishing life by children from all over Ireland. Children have led the way in many cultural changes for the better in Ireland. From the move towards recycling to wearing seat belts, children have a huge influence in the home, the community and by extension - the workplace. Annual Report 2008
2008 was a year of strong progress. There was achievement in the record number of inspections undertaken, the implementation of REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals), a strong programme of legislative renewal and simplification and the publication of practical guidance material to both employers and employees. However, these achievements are in the context of 57 reported workplace deaths.
