The objective of this guide is to assist employers and employees and others to comply with health and safety legislation and in doing so minimise any adverse effects of night and shift work. It will help employers prevent fatigue and any associated illness arising in employees. It also provides advice for employees on what they can do in relation to sleep and rest, health promotion, lifestyle, socialisation and family life in order to ensure a healthy and productive life.
