OSHVET Project (Occupational Safety and Health to teacher and students in Vocational Education and Training)

The OSHVET project aims to promote occupational safety and health (OSH) to teachers and students in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and provide practical information and resources at regional and national levels across EU, EFTA and accession countries. The project aims to build an extensive network, capitalising on the existing networks of EU-OSHA’s National Focal Points and European partner organisations — the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) and the European forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET).

The OSHVET project was launched in Ireland in February 2024. In the first year, project activities will involve a preliminary case study and OSH promotion with staff and students at Galway Technical Institute (GTI). GTI is one of the leading colleges of Further Education in Ireland, providing QQI Level 5 & 6 courses to over 1,100 learners annually.

This project is led by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).
